Victoria Falls, Chobe and the Delta

The Victoria Falls
The Falls are generally at their most spectacular during the period February to May. From September to November the flow is at its lowest, with several of the falls on the Zambian bank virtually dry.

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge

The Lodge is located on the boundary of the Zambezi National Park, some 5 minutes drive from The Falls. The design is a masterpiece of thatch and wood with intricate split-levels and indigenous trees giving the impression of a vast, open plan tree house. Each of the 72 air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms, has its own balcony, and these, together with the Bar, Restaurant, and Pool deck all overlook the waterhole. The hotel is not ideally suited for those who may have difficulty negotiating steps. A complimentary shuttle service operates between the Hotel and the centre of town.

Chobe National Park
Located in Northern Botswana, some 90 kilometers from the Victoria Falls, the park covers 11700 square kilometers of pristine wilderness. The elephant population, estimated to number in excess of 35000, is the largest single concentration in Africa surviving within the confines of a proclaimed National Park. Other major species such as lion, square lipped rhino, wild dog, sable and roan antelope are encountered in many areas of the reserve.

Chobe Game Lodge:
Set on the banks of the Chobe River, this is the only lodge located within the confines of the National Park. Each of the 46 Moorish styled, en-suite rooms, is river facing with their own private terrace/balcony. All are fully air conditioned and come complete with complimentary stocked mini-bar. For the ultimate in luxury, the Lodge has 4 river view suites, each with their own private plunge pool and sundeck. A separate lounge area is another feature. Game viewing is conducted by 4x4 vehicle in the National Park, and by boat on the Chobe River.

Seasonal Delta
The Seasonal Delta is more about Big Game and game activities in 4x4 vehicles, a number of Seasonal Camps are however able to offer both water and land activities.

Khwai River Lodge

Located eight kilometres from the north gate of the Moremi Wildlife Resrve, Khwai is one of the oldest safari lodges in Botswana. The lodge comprises 15 twin-bedded, en suite, luxury tents under thatch, on raised wooden decks overlooking the Khwai River. Each tent is equipped with individual gas geyser, “his and hers” vanity unit, shaving mirror, hair dryer, mini-bar, private viewing deck with hammocks.
