Permanent Delta
The Permanent Delta is about birds and water game, with activities
centered around the Makoro.
Eagle Island Camp at
Xaxaba (meaning “island of tall trees”) is a luxury tented
camp situated in the Central Delta. The camp comprises 12 twin-bedded,
en suite, luxury tents on raised wooden decks overlooking the lagoon.
Tents are equipped with individual gas geyser, “his and
hers” vanity unit, shaving mirror, hair dryer, mini-bar and
private viewing deck with hammocks. Accommodation is
air-conditioned
Seasonal Delta
The Seasonal Delta is more about Big Game and game activities in 4x4
vehicles, a number of Seasonal Camps are however able to offer both
water and land activities.
Khwai River Lodge is
Located eight kilometres from the north gate of the Moremi Wildlife
Reserve,. The lodge comprises 15 twin-bedded, en suite, luxury tents
under thatch, on raised wooden decks overlooking the Khwai River. Each
tent is equipped with individual gas geyser, “his and hers”
vanity unit, shaving mirror, hair dryer, mini-bar, private viewing deck
with hammocks. Game viewing is conducted in open Landcruisers Accommodation
is air-conditioned
Chobe Savute
In the heart of the Chobe National Park lies a dynamic wilderness and
eco- system called Savute, an arid environment created over hundreds of
years by a mysterious change in the environment that is still evolving
today.
Dry season game viewing concentrates Savute’s resident bull
elephant, antelope and lion prides around half empty pans and permanent
waterholes. Black-backed jackal, bat-eared foxes, tsessebe, kudu,
impala and ostrich abound. The summer rains bring a feast for lion,
hyena and cheetah as thousands of migrating zebra assemble in a chaotic
pattern on the marsh. Cape buffalo herds arrive in number and migrant
birds swell Savute’s resident 300 species, thrilling birdwatchers
with their antics
Savute Elephant Camp
comprises 12 En-suite luxury tents with thatched roofs set on raised
wooden decks over looking the Savute Channel. Each tent is equipped
with individual gas geysers; fully stocked mini bar; a private viewing
deck with hammock and easy chairs; electric overhead fan and lighting;
electric heaters. All the tents, public areas and swimming pool
overlook the adjacent water hole so it is not uncommon to see a wide
variety of birds and animals from the privacy of your own tent. Accommodation
is air-conditioned.
